After your first lesson the Coogee Bay Driving School driving instructor will be in a position to assess how many driving lessons you should take based on the following: Previous driving experience (if any) Confidence level How quickly you appear to learn and master driving techniques. A New Driver (no experience) If you have had no driving experience, we recommend a minumum of 7 to 10 nhours of driving lessons with an accredited driving instructor. For less confident learner drivers, it is not unusual to log up to 20 hours of instruction. People learn at different rates of ability, and it is important to make sure you are competent in what you have been taught in your driving lessons, not just for your driver's test but to be a safe and competent driver. A New Driver (some experience) We recommend at leat 5 to 7 hours of driving lessons with an accredited driving instructor, to fine-tune your skills and prepare for your driving test. An International Driver's Licence Holder In most occassions International Driver's Licence Holder's book approximately 2 to 3 hours of driving instruction to prepare for the drivers's test in NSW. (Note) ther has been a high rate of failure in this category, so we recommend starting with at least 3 ot 5 hours of driving lessons before attempting the driving test.

When you participate in structured driving lessons with Cooge Bay Driving School in NSW you can record 3 hours of driving exprience in your logbook for each 1 hour of driving instruction. Learning in your own vehicle is likely to be support by your instructor if: You are a confident and experienced learn driver about to take your driving test You are and experienced driver on a provisional or unrestricted licence You have a new car for familiarise yourself with'You have driven extensively oveseas and are confident on Australian roads Learning to drive in your own vehicle is not suitable for inexperienced or new learner drivers. Your vehicle must be registered, roadworthy, comprehensively insured and clean. Coogee Bay Driving School instructors reserve the right to refuse instruction in your vehicle if they believe your driving skills or vehicle condition are a safety risk. The Coogee Bay Driving School instructor may wish to conduct 1 or more lessons in their own vehicle prior to providing driving lessons in your vehicle. Coogee Bay Driving School driving instruction credits remain current for a period of 36 months (3 years) from the date of your purchase of the credits. Should you need to take a break from learning to drive, your credits will await your return within the 36 month period.

Your driving instructor will always provide a learning envronment that you are comfortable with. If you are nervous about driving or hav enever driven before, your driving instructor will find somewhere quiet to assess your skills and confidence levels. Progression from quieter areas to more complex traffic situations is only gong to occur at the pace you are comfortable with. The driving instructor will at all times consider your, and their safety. Should you live in an area of high traffic usage and you are concerned, let us know at your time of booking your course and book a 2 hour driving lesson to allow more time to travel to a quieter area. Driving lessons can be booked for a duration or 1 or 2 hours. For new learner drivers or learner drivers with a little less confidence, we strongly recommend initially booking 1 hour lessons only. Discounts are available for learner drivers who purchase Multiple Package driving lessons. You are able to book any combination of 1 hour or 2 hour driving lessons. The duration of your driving lesson is measured from the time you are picked up until the time your dropped off (Pickup and Drop off from your chosen location).
